There are few places as beautiful as a blue ribbon trout stream, and the Yakima River Canyon is one of the best in North America.  Located exactly half way between Walla Walla and Seattle, Red’s Fly Shop and the Canyon River lodge offer luxury accommodations, and guided fly fishing trips down this scenic river, and the fishing is phenomenal. New to Red’s this year is Chef Kevin Davis, well known for his Seattle restaurants Blueacre Seafood, Steelhead Diner, and Orfeo.  Kevin honed his skills in kitchens from New Orleans to Napa Valley, Miami to France and Australia.  Just this March he prepared simply the finest Halibut dish I have ever had, and by a large margin. 

This is one of our favorite weekend excursions, and we want to enjoy it with you.  We have tailored a package along with Red’s to make this a truly memorable experience.  Space is limited to 5 reservations, each double-occupancy, accommodating two people for all activities.

FISHING

We have reserved five boats for a half day of afternoon/evening guided fishing on the Yakima river.  Each boat can accommodate two anglers comfortably.

• Lunch will be provided

• A guide, rods and gear provided on each boat

• Rosé will also be provided for each boat!

Gratuity - gratuity is not included in the package price and is customary.

License - a fishing license is require to fish on the river.  Red’s does not sell licenses.  They can be purchased online in advance of fishing, or at Fred Meyer in Ellensburg.

Optional: with advanced notice Red’s also offers a full skeet shooting course.  This is not part of the package, but can be added, based on availability for $99 per shooter, plus tax and gratuity.  Jared and Kristina plan to run the course Saturday morning prior to fishing.  

ACCOMODATIONS

At the end of the day of fishing we will head back to Red's and the Canyon River Lodge.  We have reserved a block of five suites there, each with two rooms and kitchenette.

• Each suite is equipped with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, full kitchens, and a patio area. Maximum allowed capacity for the suites is 4 guests.

• All suites are equipped with fully stocked kitchens in order to provide guests with everything they need to make their own meals. Groceries are not stocked, but ready-made meals can be ordered and stocked in advance.

• Your reservation includes access to the pool and hot tub, which are heated and open 365 days a year and are available for owners and registered guests only.

Chef Kevin Davis and his team have created and incredible coursed, family style, dinner for us to enjoy down by the river’s edge.  We will of course bring a number of special wines to pair for a wonderful evening of dining and fish stories, al fresco.

RESERVATIONS

To reserve a spot on this excursion, please contact us by phone at the winery at 509-540-5761.  The reservation price of $1400 includes all activities listed above for two people.  If you would like additional guests for any or all of the activities, special arrangements can be made accordingly.  Gratuity is not included in the package price.  Reservations can be cancelled for a full refund prior to May 28th.  Cancellations must be confirmed by Red’s and the Canyon River Lodge before we are able to refund monies.  We will make every effort to ensure your requests are met in this event.
